Catholic Aid Association Credit Union offers account options that assist every part of your financial life, from long-term savings to everyday expenses and everything in between. Ownership on your accounts can be individual, joint or in the name of your trust. Unlike many investments, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a government agency, insures your credit union deposits to $250,000. Your membership savings account establishes your membership in the credit union when you maintain the minimum balance of $10.00 This account provides complete safety and convenience. Dividends are declared and paid quarterly on the average daily balance. Your account number serves as your primary member number. You may open additional savings accounts to help save for Christmas, taxes, vacation or whatever you need. For members who have larger savings balances but want to keep their funds liquid, CAACU now offers a Money Market Savings Account.Dividends are paid quarterly on the daily balance. The Coverdell Education Savings Account (formerly the Education IRA) is a tax-preferred account to encourage taxpayers to save for educational expenses. When used for qualified expenses, the earnings on this account are tax-free! Certificates allow you to earn higher rates on your savings by investing your funds for set periods of time. Certificates are available for terms from six months to 4 years. Click here to view the most current rates offered for certificates. The Youth Certificate is a special youth program designed to teach children & teens the importance of saving for the future. We offer a checking account with all of the convenience you expect.
